Getting to know your vehicle is easy. Consulting your owner's or repair manual for your particular model is the best way to learn more about its systems and parts.
  1. If an accessory or serpentine belt breaks, you'll be left stranded. Push on the belt with one finger. It should only move 1/2-inch. Inspect for cracks and wear. Replace if worn.
  2. Hose failure is the last thing you need. Check your vehicle hoses regularly by pinching them between your fingers. Replace the hose if it is spongy or sticky. Also check your engine coolant level. Top it off if needed.
  3. Bald tires are extremely dangerous. A simple test is to put a penny into a groove. If you can see the top of Abe’s head, it’s time for new tires.
  4. Driving into a swarm of bugs at night is the wrong time to run out of windshield wiper fluid. Sometimes the fill tank is in the trunk. Check it regularly.
  5. Defective lights are dangerous and can prompt a conversation with an officer of the law. Have a buddy check your vehicle lighting while you hit the brake pedal and engage the turn signals.
  6. Take a good look at your car battery. Make sure the terminals are clean and free of corrosion. Clean the posts and connectors if corroded. Refer to the Advance Auto Parts care for car batteries article.
  7. Check your motor oil every other gasoline fill-up. Park your vehicle on level ground. Allow a few minutes for the oil to settle back into the pan before checking.
  8. The master cylinder’s brake fluid reservoir is usually under the hood above the brake pedal. Brake fluid should be clear, and between the “add” and “max” lines.

Tips and Advice on Buying Auto Parts Online

This guide will discuss the experience of buying automotive parts online. In today’s world, it seems as if you can purchase anything over the internet. One of the most rapidly growing markets is auto parts.

Much like anything else you would purchase online, there are certain factors to be aware of.

Know the expense of your part. Call your local dealer and tell them what you need.  Get a price and compare other retailers’ prices thereafter. When comparing prices online, there are very important factors that you must consider:

Warranty

Does the company stand behind their part? What type of warranty does the seller offer if any? If you purchase an inexpensive part with no warranty and it goes bad, you are out of pocket for the purchase amount for its replacement.  If they do offer a warranty, what does it stipulate? Do they pay for shipping if the part goes bad or are you stuck with the bill? How long is the warranty good for? How many miles is the warranty good for? These and other things are important to know.

All of our parts including Turbos, Fuel Pumps, Diesel injector pumps, Wheel Hubs, Air Conditioning Parts, Injector Driver modules, everything we sell, comes with a one year, unlimited mileage warranty at no extra charge.

Customer Service

You’ve found the part you need with what seems like a good warranty, although you may have a few questions. Does the company offer a phone number they can be reached at or is it just an e-mail that you have to wait and hope someone responds to? A warranty is only useful when you can get in contact with the company to be taken care of.

Should you have any questions or any issues, our courteous and knowledgeable U.S. based customer service team is just a toll free call away. We strive to make our customer happy and work exceptionally hard to do so.

Company Credibility

Who can vouch for the seller? Check for consumer reviews or feedback, something very easy on eBay. If the seller has a great feedback rating with thousands of satisfied customers, you know that the seller takes care of their customers and can rest easy about a purchase.

We have thousands of positive feedback ratings left by thousands of satisfied customers.  This is due to a combination of our fast shipping, exceptional customer service and quality auto parts.
